Practice Overview

Tom is a university medallist who has degrees in Science, Economics and Law, including with a Masters degree from Columbia University, an Ivy League institution in New York City.

Tom achieved the highest distinction for his Masters dissertation in the field of constitutional law completed under the tutelage of Professor Akhil Reed Amar of Yale University, one of the leading constitutional law scholars in the USA.15:09:52

He was awarded the James Kent Scholars prize at Columbia University for graduating in the top percentile.

Tom also graduated with higher distinctions in his majors in Science from the University of Western Australia, and in Economics from Murdoch University for which he was awarded a university medal.

He worked in the national law firm of Gadens Lawyers in the area of general litigation. Tom was called to the Bar in NSW in 2003 and has practised at State Chambers in Sydney since that time.

Tom has a national practice and appears regularly in commercial and industrial matters in NSW, WA and Victoria. He appears unled in the Federal and Supreme Courts (in both first instance and appellate matters), and regularly accepts briefs in the areas of commercial/equity, administrative/constitutional and industrial/employment law.

Tom speaks Italian as a first tongue and has provided oral and written legal advice in that language.
