Practice Overview

Simon came to the Bar in 2003 after 8 years of practice as a solicitor at Blake Dawson Waldron in Sydney, where he became a Special Counsel in the Industrial and Employment Law Group.

He has maintained as his principal area of practice at the Bar all aspects of industrial and employment law in which area he is recognised as a leading junior counsel. He has particular industry experience in the steel, coal mining, rail transport, shipping and stevedoring, energy and power (gas and electricity), airline, postal and logistics and tertiary education industries. Simon advises and appears for major employers in these industries.

Simon has maintained a practice that also spans general commercial and equity. He regularly advises and appears for clients in relation to commercial disputes.

• A large number of employers in Courts and Tribunals in relation to industrial and employment law issues
